The 5th Annual Stocking Stuffer Run
While last years weather for this event was a little more
forgiving. Numerous riders and car clubs showed up for this
years event to show there support for this years Stocking
                           Stuffer Run --
braving the 30 degree temperatures with a
wind chill of somewhere around 19 degrees and the parade
route a little over 8 miles (Fallon to the Eagles Hall) riders
were lined up and ready to role to include Santa who was       leading
the pack. With the Assistance of the Fallon Police Department, Churchill County
Sheriffs Office, Churchill Banner Hospital EMS they were off and running a little after
10:00 am. The route took them through town then out to the Eagles Hall at times
reaching speeds over 50mph.
(Brrrr)

Once at the Eagles Hall a live band was playing in the background. Hot coffee and
Hot Food was awaiting all the participants.  Volunteers where dishing out
Hamburgers Chile, Hot Dogs, Chips, Hot Drinks as participants lined up eager to get
warm. After everyone got warmed up and their tummies full  a few words from the
organizers like Heather, Peggy and several others thanking everyone for their support
and generosities. Capt Vern Ulrich from the Fallon Police Department read a
proclamation from Mayor Tedford proclaiming the first week in December as Stocking
Stuffer Run Day.  Billy Butler with the assistance from some young volunteers started
the handing out raffle prizes as the crowd waited eagerly to see if their numbers were
going to be called. Like always this event as grown over the years and seems to get
bigger each year--- Thanks to all the community Members who showed up to support
our seniors.

Lots of hard work goes into these events. Heather. Peggy. Eagle Riders and all the
volunteers did a fantastic job to make this years event a great success.
Good Job
